Taking learning programmes online

On 25th September 2020, our lunchtime session featured Doug Belshaw from We are Open, Erica Neve and Marc Whitmore from Uprising UK. The focus was on taking learning programmes online and transforming delivery for charities and social enterprises, specifically those supporting young people. 

 Doug and Erica shared top tips around how to engage, reach, plan, deliver and evaluate blended learning programmes based on their work on behalf of Catalyst and the Social Mobility Commission. Marc shared his experience of steering Uprising’s 40 hours of courses online during lockdown.

The Speakers

Erica Neve combines transformational learning and community design with entrepreneurial solution-finding and creativity. Bringing diverse people together to solve problems and deliver impact. Erica designs solutions for a variety of clients from across sectors, including; Fintechs, Tech for Good startups and household names such as Tescos and Google.

Dr. Doug Belshaw We are Open is an open strategist with a deep background in education and also in organisational change. In other words, he’s an educator, technologist, researcher, and advocate for openness and transparency. After a varied career working for organisations such as Mozilla, Jisc, and Moodle, Doug now works through We Are Open Co-op, a global consultancy he co-founded with friends and former colleagues.
